Last May 29, 2011, a fire first broke out at about 9pm until almost midnight at Poblacion Bongao Tawi-Tawi. It wrecked many business establishments in the heart of Bongao including Hotel Juana and SP Mega Center. Another fire broke out at about dawn in the RTW shops in Awwal street, which is really devastating since it is near my house.


Many families lost their homes too at Tondo, Poblacion, Bongao Tawi-Tawi wherein my grandmother's house was miraculously saved. The said fire was around her house but it just burnt down the dirty kitchen and did not burn the main house.
