Sipayuk
Islet is the last islet of Bongao that serves as the border of Bongao and
Languyan Municipality. It is under the jurisdiction of Barangay Silubbog of the
capital municipality – Bongao. Silubbog is the last barangay of Bongao to the
North - the adjacent islet of Sipayuk. Indeed it is really the border of
Bongao and Languyan because of the fact that getting here from Bongao Aquada
Bay/Chinese Pier will take you 29 minutes
via speedboat (around 2 hours via motor launch/lantsa). The same calculation
when you ride a speed boat from Languyan Proper (I really used stopwatch!!!). Sipayuk
Islet is not so famous to Tawi-Tawians, only to the people of Languyan. This Islet is currently inhabited by about 15-20
households whose sources of livelihood depend on fishing and sea weeds farming.
Sipayuk Islet never fails to
mesmerize bloggers and photographers every time they passed by to Languyan municipality.
